What is Nano Banana 2.1?

Nano Banana 2.1 is Google’s updated image generation and editing model. Its official model ID is gemini-nano-banana-2.1. Google documents improvements to visual quality, instruction following, text rendering and consistency across edits. The generator on this page uses the existing Nano Banana 2 integration; Nano Banana 2.1 is not integrated here.

What changed in 2.1

01

More convincing image detail

Google reports better realism across 1K, 2K and 4K outputs, with fixes for tiling artifacts in wide and panoramic images at 2K and 4K.

02

Clearer text and layouts

The update improves typography and infographic composition. Try concise labels and a clear layout, then review the rendered text before using an image.

03

Better continuity across edits

Google documents up to 14 reference images, with consistency for up to four characters and fidelity for up to ten objects. These are official 2.1 capabilities; this page’s upload limits follow the selected model.
